Dr. Shu Yinbiao, 36th IEC President, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, attended 2022 International Green Energy Summit (aka. The 14th China-US Green Energy Summit) and delivered a keynote speech.
Dr. Shu Yinbiao pointed out in his speech that China's energy should implement the four modernizations transformation path of clean, electrification, digitalization and standardization, by accelerating the development of clean energy such as onshore and offshore wind energy, southwest hydropower and nuclear energy, and promoting the utilization of biomass, geothermal energy, hydrogen, so as to form a multi-energy complementary clean energy supply system. To facilitate the global energy transition, research and development of core technologies, including clean generation, energy storage, hydrogen energy, re-electrification, carbon capture and storage, digitalization, security and stability control of bulk power systems, and relevant technical standards shoule be actively carried out.
The 2022 International Green Energy Summit (aka. The 14th China-US Green Energy Summit) was held on Dec. 2nd-4th under theme of “Opportunities and Challenges on the Road to Carbon Neutrality”. The Summit was co-hosted by the US-China Green Energy Council, the Chinese Society of Electrical Engineering, the Energy Internet Research Institute of Tsinghua University, and Stanford Precourt Institute for Energy. World’s top-tier scientists and energy leaders from US, China, and Europe gathered together, to discuss ideas, methods and paths for achieving carbon neutrality, and to promote international cooperation.
