1st China Standardization Conference Held in Nanjing

The first China Standardization Conference was held during March 30th - 31st, 2023 in Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu province, which was attended and addressed by Dr. Shu Yinbiao, 36th IEC President and academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), Dr. Tian Shihong, Vice-Minister of State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) and Administrator of Standardization Administration of China (SAC), Mr. Hu Guangjie, Vice governor of Jiangsu province, and Mr. Wang Liping, chairman of Nanjing CPPCC




Dr. Shu Yinbiao emphasized that standards are the key to improve market efficiency, which is essential to promote market circulation and improve the quality of products and services. Chinese enterprises should seize the historic opportunity of industrial revolution and industrial transformation, enhance the awareness of standardization and strengthen the training of talents. We will use international standards as a link and international standardization organizations as a platform to promote collaborative innovation in standardization, technology and industry.



The conference was composed of one themed conference,  five sub-forums and series of technical activities. Dr. Zhang Xiaogang, former ISO president, Dr. Zhao Xiangeng, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Dr. Xue Yusheng, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Mr. Zhang Gang, committee member of National Manufacturing Strategy Advisory Commitee, and Ms. Dong Mingzhu, chairman and president of Gree Electric Appliances, Inc. of Zhuhai, delivered keynote speeches. Mr. Sergio Mujica,  Secretary-General of ISO and Mrs Elena Santiago Cid, Director General of CEN and CENELEC addressed the conference via video.
